Get to know me
I am an educator, school leader, founder, and learning designer
who has spent my career thinking about a simple but important
question: How do we build learning environments that truly
respond to the people within them?
For nearly two decades, my work has taken me across classrooms, school leadership, educational entrepreneurship, student support, curriculum design, admissions, organizational development, and executive leadership. While my roles have evolved, the through line has remained consistent. I am drawn to building programs, schools, and systems that recognize that students do not all learn in the same way and that meaningful education begins with understanding the individual.

Much of my career has centered on gifted and twice exceptional learners, neurodiverse students, and young people whose strengths are sometimes overlooked when schools focus primarily on what they find difficult. I founded The Journey School of Houston to create a different kind of educational experience for these students and their families. Building a school from the ground up shaped how I think about leadership. It taught me to move comfortably between vision and execution, whether that means designing curriculum, supporting teachers, partnering with families, developing programs, managing operations, or thinking strategically about an organization's future.

Today, my work continues to sit at the intersection of education, leadership, innovation, and human development. I am especially interested in how executive function, learning differences, educational technology, artificial intelligence, and thoughtful organizational design can help us create more responsive educational experiences.

I also believe deeply that relationships matter. Whether I am working with a student, mentoring an educator, supporting a family, developing a team, or leading an organization, I try to bring curiosity, empathy, clarity, and a willingness to ask better questions.

My career has never followed a perfectly linear path, and I consider that one of its strengths. I have been a teacher, researcher, technologist, founder, executive director, school leader, coach, and educational therapist. Each experience has expanded the way I understand learning and leadership.

At the center of all of it is a belief that education should help people better understand who they are, recognize what they are capable of, and have access to environments where they can grow.
